Medical Assistant Pathways (MAP) Program

dsf

-working with employers to efficiently combine critical interpreting and medical office skills.

Front office and provider-support personnel are increasingly called upon to assist patients with limited or no English.

The Oregon Health Career Center has been providing certified bilingual medical assistants through our MAP Program since 1997.
In addition to the complete community college medical assistant program of coursework and clinical placement, we will provide each student with an interpreting concepts class, and a medical terminology class in their second language.

We are not currently scheduling a cohort for this program. Employers or funders interested in sponsoring slots in a future Medical Assistant Pathways cohort should contact Gary Wappes at gwappes@ohcc.org.
